Annual Poppy Drive Scheduled for Aug. 2 & 3
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3088 will conduct their annual Buddy poppy drive on Aug. 2 & 3 in Sturgeon Bay and Egg Harbor. Funds raised are used to benefit veterans and their families.

Boys and Girls Club Members to Set Up Lemonade Stands
On Aug. 2, members of the Boys and Girls Club of Door County will set up five lemonade stands throughout Sturgeon Bay. Stands will be set up at First Merit Bank, Appliances Plus, Door County Traders, Pick N Save and Bay Pharmacy from 11:30 am – 1 pm.

Ephraim Men’s Club Holds Annual Scholarship Breakfast
Pancakes and sausage are on the menu Aug. 3 at the annual scholarship breakfast held by the Ephraim Men’s Club at Ephraim Village Hall from 7:30 – 11 am.

Rev. Michael Blair Conducts Special Service at Bethany Lutheran Church
The community is invited to hear Rev. Michael Blair, campus pastor at Luther College, Decorah, Iowa, on Aug. 4 at Bethany Lutheran Church. Rev. Blair, the visiting pastor at Bethany, will also conduct a special evening service titled “Finding Our Way” on Aug.

Jacksonport Historical Society Holds Historic Cabins Walk
Eighteen homes will be featured in Jacksonport Historical Society’s (JHS) Historic Cabins Walk on Aug. 5. The all-day event is divided into three segments of 90 minutes each, starting at 9:15 am and ending at 3:30 pm.

Wellness Works Roundtable Scheduled for August 7
The second annual Wellness Works Roundtable is set for Aug. 7, 8 – 9:30 am, at the Sturgeon Bay City Hall Community Room. In an effort to encourage healthier lifestyles in and out of the workplace, Ministry Door County Medical Center and the Door County YMCA have partnered in creating comprehensive wellness opportunities for employers in Door County and their employees.

Swing-a-Thon Raises Over $2,000
Swingers at Shepherd of the Bay Church in Sister Bay raised $2,200 in a 24-hour Swing-a-Thon to benefit the Door County Habitat for Humanity.
