Buy a Gingerbread House to Help Build a House
The Inn at Cedar Crossing announces a new event for charitable giving this holiday season – Buy a Gingerbread House to Help Build a House. The restaurant will sell handmade and decorated gingerbread houses, with the all the proceeds benefiting Door County Habitat for Humanity.

“A Celebration of Carols” Benefits Hurricane Sandy Victims
The Sister Bay Moravian Church is holding “A Celebration of Carols” on Dec. 2 at 7 pm to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The carols will be preformed by the combined choirs of the Ephraim and Sister Bay Moravian Churches, under the direction of Sue Raye Hughes and Jendean Olson.

Pirates in the Harbour “Party with A Purpose”
The Pirates in the Harbour continue to “party with a purpose” to raise money for local charitable organizations. Since the club was sanctioned as a chapter of Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. in October 2009, they have raised $10,000.

The Joy to the World! Dinner and Christmas Concert, featuring the Christian country band Parks, Phillips & Co., will be held on Dec. 2 at 6 pm at Prince of Peace Church.

Help Light the Lights in Sturgeon Bay
The lighted winter snowflakes that bedazzle Sturgeon Bay streets from November to late February are coming soon. The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center is responsible for the holiday lights, along with their partners at Sturgeon Bay Utilities and Door County Ace Hardware.

Lola wants car rides! Feeling the wind on her face from the back seat is one of her most favorite things in the world. The other is her toys. Since coming in to the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) four months ago, Lola has learned that squeaky toys can be heaps of fun.
