Crossroads of Door County Offers Various Programs

Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout July.

The Sons of Norway will host a Norwegian Heritage Day at the Collins Learning Center and the Historical Village at The Crossroads on July 10 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm. Visitors to this free event will have the opportunity to explore historic buildings and enjoy demonstrations and displays of weaving, rosemaling, knitting, and more. Norwegian pastries will be available.

On July 11, “School Days in 1900” will take place in the Vignes School in the Historical Village. At 1:30 pm, participants can experience daily lessons such as reading, writing, arithmetic, history, science, or music in a rural schoolhouse.

On July 12, the Crossroads will host “Butterflies Everywhere,” an event will feature a hike to find butterflies, their caterpillars and the plants they love to eat.
