Door County Land Trust and The Ridges Conclude Merger Discussions

The Ridges Sanctuary and Door County Land Trust have concluded their exploratory discussions for a possible merger. Although the organizations have determined that now is not the right time to combine, they are committed to continue working together in various ways. Both organizations said they had developed a deeper understanding of and appreciation for the other through the process.

The two announced in late August that they had entered into discussions about a potential merger into one operating entity. The board presidents of both organizations characterized the discussion as very preliminary and exploratory at that time.
