Door County’s Third Avenue Playhouse Announces Holiday Line-up

Daddy D and the gang are back in town to kick off the holiday season with a Christmas show that sparkles from start to finish.

The lively production, scheduled for Sunday, November 22 at 7:30 pm, features funny bits and skits, Christmas parodies and traditional carols. As always, the musicianship is masterful and the comedy is quirky. Song selections include: “Sleigh Ride,” “The First Noel,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas,” “Toyland,” “Deck the Halls,” “O Holy Night” and many more seasonal favorites.

Ticket prices for Daddy D’s Christmas Show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students and $8 for children under 12.

In December, Third Avenue welcomes the public back to old time radio theater, where the actors play multiple roles and the best view is with your eyes closed. WTAP returns to the airwaves with the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol: The Radio Play. Seventeen adults and eleven children recreate the Yuletide story in eight performances: December 4 – 7 and 11 – 14. Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 pm. Sunday matinees are at 2 pm.

As is the Third Avenue’s tradition, they will finish out the year with the Hagen Family Christmas Show. Join the Hagens for an evening of old-fashioned Christmas fun and song on Saturday, December 20 at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are on sale at the theater box office, 239 N. Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, 920.743.1760. The box office is open from 10 am – 3 pm, Monday through Friday and one hour prior to performances. Tickets are also available at Dancing Bear, 13 N. Third Avenue and on-line at http://www.thirdavenueplayhouse.com.
