Door Prize for Portraiture Winning Pieces on Display

The 10th annual Door Prize for Portraiture is open for public viewing through July 17 at Chez Cheryl Artspace, and the 2019 winners have been announced.

Best in Show went to Hermke Timm of Sturgeon Bay for his thought-provoking self portrait “The Immigrants.” Honorable mentions went to Christy Kelly-Bentgen for her mixed-media piece titled “Perhaps the Only ‘Sane’ Response?,” to Stephanie Trenchard for her sand-cast glass titled “Is There a Bird on My Head” and to Cynthia Wolfe for her digital drawing on metal titled “She Is Fire and Light.”

The gallery, 8360 High Plateau Road in Baileys Harbor, is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm.
