Hacienda Beer Co. to Release 4 New Beers on Black Friday

Beer lovers can order the new varieties in advance at linktr.ee/haciendabeer for pickup Nov. 27-29 at either the Hacienda North Avenue Taproom in Milwaukee or the Door County Brewing Co. Taproom and Music Hall in Baileys Harbor. New varieties include:

Velvet Bulldozer 2020

The 2020 Velvet Bulldozer builds on last year’s Black Friday release of the same name. It’s an imperial rye stout with amped-up amounts of lactose sugar, malted rye, flaked and malted oats, chocolate malt and other specialty malts. After fermentation, it’s conditioned with vanilla bean, cacao and whole espresso coffee beans. 12.0% ABV.

Art of Decay

This is a barrel-fermented sour beer with pinot noir grape must from Oregon. Art of Decay is definitely on the more sour side of Hacienda’s barrel-fermented saisons, but the fruit-forward, punchy pinot noir grapes balance it well. 6.8% ABV.

True Hallucinations

This sweet, big Double IPA features El Dorado, Idaho 7 and Vic Secret hops. It’s brewed with a significant amount of malted oats and wheat, hopped with Vic Secret in the whirlpool, then double-dry-hopped with more Vic Secret, Idaho 7 and El Dorado. 8.5% ABV.

The Come Up

Former head brewer Brendan came up to Door County with the Good City team to brew a big Double IPA with flaked oats, malted wheat and honey from Door County’s Hatch Distilling. The beer was hopped with Lotus in the whirlpool; then the whirlpool’s temperature was lowered significantly to preserve as much of the volatile oils as possible. Finally, the beer was double-dry-hopped with more Lotus, Sabro and Azacca. 8.1% ABV.
