Herbal Tea Time

Join pharmacist and herbalist Dave LaLuzerne for a wild take on high tea Sept. 21, 4 pm, at Kick Ash Coffee, 12001 Mink River Road in Ellison Bay.

LaLuzerne, who’s renowned for his herbal tea gatherings, will serve a selection that includes chicory/chocolate mint, linden flower and wild marjoram, as well as herbal hors d’oeuvres.

This event is a fundraiser for the Door Community Compost Initiative, a project of the Climate Change Coalition of Door County. Composting is essential to efforts to address climate change because it returns carbon to the soil and thus reduces humans’ carbon footprint. Compost enhances local soils, supports local food production and conserves the natural ecology by improving soil structure and maintaining nutrients, carbon and soil microorganisms.

The cost is $30. Advance reservations are required by calling LaLuzerne at 608.512.9633 or registering at Kick Ash.
