Jacksonport Town Hall Bakery Features Katie Dahl and Friends

On Friday, September 17 Door County singer-songwriter Katie Dahl will perform at the charming, historic Jacksonport Town Hall Bakery. The evening will feature new original songs and old-time favorites from the popular musician, who was recently named one of two winners in the Big Top Chautauqua “Songwriter of the Year” contest.

After just a few short years of performing, Dahl has garnered a reputation for her eloquent songwriting, powerful vocals, and engaging performance style. Known on the peninsula for her frequent solo performances and work with Door Shakespeare and American Folklore Theatre, she has also played her songs as far away as Mali and southern France.

The concert will feature “Hometown Tables,” the song that is the basis of her brand-new single and music video, a mix of other new material, and several songs from her 2009 CD release, County Line.

Joining Katie to perform will be fiddler extraordinaire Lynn Gudmundsen along with Door County favorites Andy Coulson, Rich Higdon, Jess Holland, and Chicago-based singer-guitarist Nathan Hosner.

Tickets cost $15. Because seating is limited, advance reservations are encouraged. For more information and/or to make reservations, call the Jacksonport Town Hall Bakery at 920.823.2116. To learn more about Dahl, visit http://www.katiedahlmusic.com.
