James May North Spotlights Mothers As Artists

James May North will host its MOTHER + ARTIST exhibit July 5-27, with an opening reception July 5, 5:30-8 pm. The featured artists – Megan Woodard Johnson, Amy Soczka, Katie Martin Meurer, Maria Amalia Wood, Kendra Bulgrin, Jamie Lea Bertsch and Mindy Sue Wittock – will participate in a panel discussion July 6, 11 am. 

This exhibition features women who are both artists and mothers. Their work may not be specifically about experiences in motherhood, but each woman manages an art career – creating, promoting and exhibiting her work – while also mothering.
