Jan Comstock Chosen as Finalist

Artwork by Baileys Harbor artist Jan Comstock was selected as a finalist in the Richeson 75 International – Figure & Portrait 2012 Exhibit. The exhibit is currently on display at the Richeson School of Art & Gallery and their online gallery, until Dec. 7. Two additional pieces of artwork by Comstock were given meritorious status.

Jack Richeson & Co. is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality art materials. As part of their mission to support the visual arts community, they operate the Richeson School of Art & Gallery and have created the Richeson 75 International Art Competitions. The competitions offer a venue for established and emerging artists to show their work to an appreciative audience.

All Richeson 75 competitions are capped off with the publication of a collectible, limited edition full-color, hardcover exhibit book. These books include work of the finalists, and also feature meritorious entries from the competition.

The Richeson School of Art & Gallery is located at 557 Marcella Street in Kimberley. Gallery hours are 10 am – 5 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; 10 am – 8 pm on Wednesdays; and 10 am – 4 pm on Saturdays.

Comstock’s work is displayed locally at Woodwalk Gallery and Erinwood Studios/Gallery. Woodwalk is located at 6746 County Road G, south of Egg Harbor, and open daily 10 am – 5 pm.

Erinwood is located at 7456 Highway 57, south of Baileys Harbor, and open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 5 pm or by appointment.
