Julie Davis Named Executive Director of the Year for the Midwest Region

Julie Davis, chief professional officer at the Boys & Girls Club of Door County, has been named the Executive Director of the Year for the Midwest Region by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Davis accepted the award at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Midwest Regional Conference held in Schaumberg, Ill., on Oct. 14.

“We are delighted that Julie’s exceptional efforts on behalf of Door County children have been recognized by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America,” said Boys & Girls Club of Door County Board Chairman Inge Bacon. “She embodies all the best of servant leadership. Under her tenure, the club has grown tremendously with more than 400 children from kindergarten to high school now attending.”

Also at the Midwest Regional Conference, the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Door County received the silver level of the League of EAGLES Award. The silver award recognizes the Door County affiliate for achieving 90 percent of the performance indicators. In 2014, fewer than 10 percent of the boards nationally met this milestone.
