Lavender Fair At The Savory Spoon

Head to the Savory Spoon Cooking School, 12042 Hwy 42 in Ellison Bay, on July 22, 10 am – 2 pm, for a pop-up lavender fair featuring the florals of Tom and Bonnie Ansley of Door County Botanicals.

During this outdoor, educational event, guests can learn from the lavender farmers and purchase their bouquets, sachets and buds for culinary use. Janice Thomas from the Savory Spoon will also have samples of lavender lemonade and lavender ice cream to share, along with recipes to create lavender treats at home.

The Ansleys have a private hobby farm that grows mainly lavender, and they also have a farm stand that’s open all summer to sell dried and fresh bouquets, sachets and fresh produce from their garden. The fields are visible from the farm stand, but they are not open to the public.
