Esther B. Karnitz

April 3, 1923 – Dec. 8, 2014

Esther B. Karnitz, 91, of Maplewood, died on Dec. 8, 2014, at the Skilled Nursing Facility at Ministry Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay. She was born in Brussels to John and Ida (Rouer) Lardinois. On Aug. 20, 1941, she married Elmer “Brownie” Karnitz. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2002. Funeral services will be at 11 am on Dec. 11 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Kolberg. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm on Dec. 10 at the Forbes Funeral Home and after 10 am at church until the time of service. forbesfuneralhome.com.

Dolores Jean Sellhausen

March 30, 1944 – Dec. 8, 2014

Dolores Jean Sellhausen, 70, Brussels died at her residence on Dec. 8, 2014. She was born March 30, 1944 in Milwaukee to Edward and Jeanette (Christiansen) Dutscheck. On Nov. 14, 1964, she married Jack Sellhausen in Milwaukee. She and Jack were foster parents to more than 50 children. Funeral Services will be 7 pm Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at Forbes Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Friday.

Trent Evenson

Aug. 13, 1966 – Dec. 7, 2014

Trent Evenson, 48, of Sturgeon Bay, died at home on Dec. 7, 2014. Trent graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1985, and then attended Wyoming Technical College. He worked as an auto technician for a number of businesses in Sturgeon Bay for many years. On May 22, 1993, he married Holly Baker at the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church. They were blessed with the birth of their daughter Elise. Trent was especially proud of his daughter and her many accomplishments. Funeral services were held Dec. 11, 2014, at the Forbes Funeral Home.

Mary Lou Werkheiser

May 24, 1935 – Dec. 5, 2014

Mary Lou Werkheiser, 79, of Sturgeon Bay, died, Dec. 5, 2014, at Ministry Door County Medical Center. Mary Lou had suffered four bouts of cancer since 1990. Mary Lou be deeply missed by her husband, Wayne; three children, Deb (Doug) Krauel of Egg Harbor, Dan (Carla) of Green Bay, Dawn (James) Englebert of Sturgeon Bay; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and her twin sister, Marilyn Anschutz of Egg Harbor. Lorraine N. Peck

Feb. 4, 1943 – Dec. 1, 2014

Lorraine N. Peck, 91, of Sturgeon Bay, died Dec. 1, 2104, at Cardinal Ridge CBRF. She was born in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Frederick and Martha (Maronde) Jung. On July 19, 1947, she married Joseph John Peck. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2014. Lorraine enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially in their retirement. She was a sweet, gentle woman.
