Lori’s Spa Essence Offers Somatics Class in Two Locations

Lori Strantz, owner of Lori’s Spa Essence in Fish Creek, is offering a new eight-week somatics class series at two locations in March. Strantz is a clinical somatic educator and licensed massage therapist. Somatic movement classes teach you how to relieve and prevent pain in a way that isn’t taught in regular exercise classes. Classes will target the areas of your body that are affected by stress, anxiety and injury. Participants will lie on the floor as Strantz instructs you through slow, simple, enjoyable movements. There is no force or stretching involved in the movements; they are gentle, appropriate and beneficial for all levels of ability.

Classes will be held at Lori’s Spa Essence in Fish Creek, 3290 Gibraltar Road, Tuesdays, from March 22 – May 17 (no class April 12), 10:30 – 11:30 am; and also at Glas Coffeehouse/Cellcom Training Room, Sturgeon Bay, Thursdays, from March 17 – May 19 (no classes April 7 or 14), 5:30 – 6:30 pm.
