Meadows Art Gallery Begins Fifth Season with ‘Celebration’

The Meadows Art Gallery begins its fifth season with the annual Celebration show. The show features six artists that have been with The Meadows since the gallery’s beginning: Connie Glowacki, Madonna Siles, Beverly Hart-Branson, Bonnie Sandstrom, Brigitte Kozma and Bren Sibilsky. The show was installed Nov. 12 and will be up through Dec. 3. The reception is planned for Nov. 19, 2 – 4 pm; stop by the gallery, have a glass of wine, meet the artists and see a fine selection of local artwork.

In response to suggestions from artists, as well as gallery patrons, the length of the exhibits will be extended to six weeks whenever possible. An attempt will be made to include more Door County artists in each show, in order to carry on with their mission statement, “Artists helping artists.”

Other artists featured in the exhibit are: Sharon Auberle, Mary Blichmann, Tina Brodbeck, Ethel Davis, Mary Neison, Terry VanVorous and Marcia Nickols. These artists will show the following media: drawing, painting, pottery, stone sculpture, glass creations and written art.

The Meadows Gallery is located in Scandia Village in Sister Bay. To reach the gallery, go to the main entrance of Scandia Village, enter under the portico and turn right at the main hallway. The gallery is open 10 am to 5 pm daily. For more information call 920.854.4416 or 920.854.2317.
