  • Billerbeck Field Re-dedicated

    Gibraltar High School re-dedicated Billerbeck Field to its namesake, Rod “Chief” Billerbeck, Thursday, May 15 in a pre-game ceremony. Billerbeck coached the team for nearly three decades and led the Vikings to 17 conference championships, as well as the school’s only team sport state championship in 1979.

  • Gardner Joins Tourism Zone

    The Door County Tourism Zone (DCTZ) added a 12th member when the Town of Gardner board voted to join at their May meeting. In doing so the town will now collect the same 5.

    Terry Goettleman, owner of Fred and Company in downtown Fish Creek, was awoken early Friday morning by a phone call. “Terry, The Cookery is on fire, you may want to go down there,” her friend told her.

The 37 year-old Oshkosh West art teacher and assistant cross country coach dominated the May 3rd race in Peninsula State Park from start to finish, crossing the line more than ten minutes ahead of second place Ryan Miller.
