Obituary: Diane “Diana” Tess

July 13, 1954 – Nov. 28, 2022

Diane Tess, 68, Shorewood, WI, passed away suddenly. She was born in Sturgeon Bay to Kenneth and Katherine (Pisha) Tess.

Diana dedicated her life to increasing cultural awareness as an educator. She taught Spanish for 35 years at Nicolet High School and was selected as Teacher of the Year in 1987. She was a leader at El Lago del Bosque, the Spanish Language Village in Bemidji, MN, which is part of Concordia College. She was on staff at Concordia Language Villages since 1975, serving as dean since 1979.

The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Dec. 17, 11 am, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal and burial follows at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation precedes the service, 10-11 am. To make a contribution in her memory, contribute to the Concordia Language Villages Diane Tess Endowed Scholarship fund or to the Fr. Tony Birdsall Prayer and Reflection Garden Fund through Corpus Christi.
