About Friends of Rock Island
We are a friends group that is dedicated to helping to support the Department of Natural Resources in operating and maintaining Rock Island State Park, at the northern tip of the Door County peninsula. This gem of an island is home to the oldest lighthouse in Wisconsin established in 1836, which is open for tours daily from 10 am to 4pm, and has hike in campground with 40 primitive campsites reservable through the DNR. Visit the FORI (Friends of Rock Island) website to learn more about how to become a member of our group and how to volunteer to help keep Rock Island beautiful.
