Reading Meditation at Kress Pavilion

Enjoy an environment of listening, relaxation, reading and writing. The Kress Pavilion will fill with the sounds of contemporary classical and ambient music for a Reading Meditation on July 29, 4-6 pm.

In conjunction with Write On, Door County and the Egg Harbor Library, a selection of books on nature, poetry, and other thoughtful topics are collected on tables in a created lounge area. Write On, Door County will provide journals for people to write thoughts and ideas that come out of the experience. The aim for this ongoing series is an opportunity for people to have quiet time to think and reflect in a comfortable environment.

Jon Mueller, one of the organizers, is a drummer, percussionist and composer who has performed throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Europe and Japan. A founding member of the bands Volcano Choir, Collections of Colonies of Bees and Pele, he has also worked with a variety of musicians throughout the U.S. and Europe. Write On, Door County focuses on the importance of writing and reading and the ability of people to connect through stories. They provide a beautiful and inspiring retreat for writers on 39 acres in the middle of the Door County peninsula and conduct classes, programs, and special events throughout the county for all ages and experience levels.
