School Board Candidates Announced

The raucous debate about educational expenses in 2011 didn’t create a rush of interest in the county’s school board seats. Southern Door’s school board race will be hotly contested, with a February primary to narrow the field, while Sturgeon Bay has just five candidates for four seats. In Sevastopol, Gibraltar and Washington Island, the board candidates will all run without competition in fields where seven of the eight candidates are incumbents, and the other – Mark Weborg – previously served 12 years on the board.
