Season Finales

Several restaurants called it a season at the end of Sister Bay’s Fall Fest weekend. Wilson’s Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor has gone into hibernation until next May. Analog Ice Cream and Coffee shut down for the season after cheering on drivers in the Fall Fest Derby. Northern Grill and Pub and Door County Ice Cream Factory in Sister Bay also closed for the season after the Fall Fest weekend, as did Rusty Tractor in Carlsville. Wally’s Weenie Wagon food truck and Stabbur Beer Garden called it a season at the end of service Oct. 23 as well.

Grasse’s Grill plans to close Oct. 29, and Door County Creamery is open one final weekend, closing Sunday, Oct. 30. The Waterfront expects to close the first week of November.

Many year-round restaurant staples are shifting to off-season hours. Alexander’s in Fish Creek has completed its last Sunday service and is now open Tuesday-Saturday for dinner service, with the bar open at 4 pm and dining starting at 5 pm. Julie’s Park Cafe will be open Friday-Sunday, 7 am – 2 pm, beginning Nov. 1.

Hugel Haus announced on Facebook that it will be open through the winter, but it will close Nov. 1 for an undetermined period to carry out building maintenance.

Chef’s Hat in Ephraim is open Friday and Saturday for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday for breakfast. In Sister Bay, LURE will be open Thursday-Sunday for dinner at 5 pm, and Roots Inn & Kitchen is now open Saturday-Tuesday, 9 am – 1 pm.
