Summer-Season Theater and Performance Updates

The pandemic has severely affected the county’s theater and performance communities, with many deciding to forgo a summer performance season altogether. Here are those updates:

• Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay has canceled or rescheduled its summer performances, with the first performance opening Sept. 3.

• Peninsula Players Theatre in Fish Creek has canceled its summer season, with plans for a fall season beginning in September still in place.

• Northern Sky Theater has canceled its summer season in Peninsula State Park, with plans for a fall season beginning in September still in place.

• Door Shakespeare has canceled its summer season at Björklunden in Baileys Harbor. Camp Will, its summer theater program for youth, will continue on a virtual platform.

• Door Community Auditorium’s summer season in Fish Creek is scheduled to begin July 13, with earlier show dates rescheduled.

• Trueblood Performing Arts Center on Washington Island has postponed its schedule until further notice.
