Taking Cycling to a New Level

Nor Door Sport and Cyclery in Fish Creek is gearing up for another winter of indoor cycling. With expanded options and a brand new studio space, instructors Fred Bexell and Linda Menar will provide class options for all types of cycling enthusiasts.

This winter’s courses will begin the first week of November in the brand new cycling studio on the second floor of the popular bike and sporting good shop. The studio is the only one in northeast Wisconsin equipped with CycleOps Power Indoor Cycles by SARIS, the ultimate in technology for indoor cycles.

Bexell, a Certified Spinning® Instructor and CycleOps Power trained instructor, will offer classes for a second season at Nor Door Sport and Cyclery. Specializing his classes around the CycleOps Power training system used by elite athletes and cycling enthusiasts worldwide, Bexell’s programs allow individuals – no matter their experience or ability – to monitor and evaluate their power output. The objective results from training with power will assist participants in tracking their personal progress and reaching their goals surrounding weight loss, fitness and performance.

Menar, a familiar name in the area when it comes to indoor cycling, having introduced it first to the peninsula back in 2002, will join the staff at Nor Door Sport and Cyclery this winter. Utilizing her extensive background in Spinning® as the foundation for her classes, she will focus on using a mind/body connection to achieve cardiovascular conditioning. Also a Certified Spinning® Instructor, Menar combines music and motion to parallel the various outdoor road ride profiles. She uses the tools of heart rate expectations, cadence and visualization from road experience to ensure a participant’s success based on individual needs, abilities and goals.

Classes at Nor Door Sport and Cyclery will be offered seven days a week at a variety of times throughout the day. There are no membership fees, and a flat $12 fee for all single classes is charged with monthly or volume Ride Cards available at a discount.
