Saturday, Sept. 13, was busy weekend of bicycles, football, fire equipment and music for photographer Len Villano.

1. The Sister Bay Liberty Grove Fire Dept. held an open house on Sept. 13 to celebrate its first 10 years in the “new” fire station.

2. The Door County Destroyers continued their incredible winning streak by defeating the M&M Timberjacks 26 – 6 on their home turf, Baileys Harbor Rec Park. The Destroyers lead the Wisconsin State Football League with a 6 – 0 record.

3. Sept. 13 was also the day of the Peninsula Century Ride, with riders taking 25-, 50-, 62- and 100-mile rides through Door County. The event finished with a post-ride party on Sister Bay’s waterfront, with music by Dirty Deuce.

4. Finally, Len ended his busy day with a visit to Door County Brewing Co. in Baileys Harbor to hear Minnesota musician Charlie Parr perform to an appreciative crowd.
