What’s Coming Up in Door County?

• The Village of Ephraim Board of Trustees is hosting a special meeting Sept. 18 from 6 – 7:30 pm at the Village Hall to discuss revisions to an ordinance regarding direct sellers and service vendors. Chapter 12 Licenses and Permits: Section 12.-05 is the ordinance the village plan committee decided conflicted with the Ephraim Business Council’s proposed open air painting event.

• The Peninsula Golf Association will host a public meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 4 – 6 pm at Peninsula State Park Golf Course clubhouse to discuss potentially building a short course across from the course’s driving range.

• The next meeting about the 2013 detour route for the Bayview Bridge closure will take place on Sept. 17 at 4 pm at the Sturgeon Bay City Hall. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will present a plan to the city’s parking and traffic committee.

• The Town of Baileys Harbor is setting up a committee to create a long-range plan for the town’s future cemetery expansion. The town is hoping to come up with a cost estimate for the 2013 budget.
