Food, facts and folk music will be featured at the June 29 annual meeting of the Sister Bay Historical Society as they welcome members and friends alike for an evening in the Koessl Barn at the Corner of the Past Museum.

Ridges Hosts “Nature Discovery Night” at Baileys Harbor Town Hall
The Ridges Sanctuary will host “Nature Discovery Night” on June 30 from 7 – 8:30 pm at Baileys Harbor Town Hall. Participates of the program will have the opportunity to be inside a giant soap bubble, blow bubbles, and examine pond creatures under a microscope.

Fish Creek’s Noble House Museum Opens for the Season
The historic Alexander Noble House Museum in Fish Creek is now open Monday through Sunday, 12 – 5 pm, until October 17. Built in 1875, the Noble House was home to three generations of the Noble Family and has been a landmark on Fish Creek’s busiest corner.

Door County Historical Museum Hosts Belgian Heritage Day
June 25 will be Belgian Heritage Day at the Door County Historical Museum. Barb (Englebert) Chisholm, 5th generation Belgian American, will be available to talk about the museum’s Belgian exhibits.

UUF of Door County Presents Afro-Colombian Activist
Daira Quinones, a displaced Afro-Colombian activist from Bogota, Colombia, will tell her story of oppression, resistance, and survival on July 1 at 7 pm at the UU Fellowship in Ephraim.

On Wednesday, June 29 from 5 – 8 pm the public is invited to wine, dance and dine with the Renaissance Fantasy Faire’s full Royal Court and its entertainers at The English Inn in Fish Creek.

Preservation Classes Hosted by NWTC in Sturgeon Bay

Ephraim Museums Open for 2011 Season
Ephraim Village Museums will reopen for the summer season on June 17. The Anderson Barn History Center will feature a new rotating exhibit of the genealogical research of five of Ephraim’s pioneer families titled “The Roots of our Village: The Pioneer Families of Ephraim.”

Corner of the Past of Sister Bay Opens for the Season
The Corner of the Past historical museum will open for its 15th season June 11 and 12. Docents from the Sister Bay Historical Society will be on hand from 11 am – 3 pm every weekend through the end of June.

Door County Bridge Club Adds Game Session
The Door County Bridge Club announced the addition of another game session for the Door County area. Sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), duplicate bridge games will be held every Tuesday at noon and every Friday at 9 am from June through Sept.
