    The toe-tapping, heartfelt musical Always…Patsy Cline, created and originally directed by Ted Swindley, is in its final week on the Peninsula Players stage.

  • Auditions Upcoming for StageKids Christmas Show

    Auditions will be held for the Third Avenue Playhouse’s StageKids Christmas show, The Elves and The Shoemaker on Oct. 13 and Oct. 20, 4 – 7 pm. This timeless fairy tale tells the story of a shoemaker and his wife who are struggling to make a living with the help of a few friendly elves.

  • Lumberjacks at Gibraltar Talks

    Transitioning from school days to the lumber industry, which paved the way for Door County, on Oct. 16 Gibraltar Talks presents, “Taking on the Timber,” the last program of the season.

  • Saloon Hosts Community Dance

    On Oct. 18 from 7 – 9:30 pm, the Door County Folk Alliance will host its Fall Community Dance at the Institute Saloon Dance Hall. All dances are taught by caller Tim Jenkins and Sugar on the Floor will provide the music.

  • Fall Museum Hours for Ephraim Historical Foundation

    The Ephraim Historical Foundation fall museum hours are Friday and Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm through Oct. 18. The museums will then be closed for the 2014 season but the office will remain open through the winter.

  • Time for a Time Warp

    Let’s do the time warp again! The Donna Film Fest at Third Avenue Playhouse presents The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Oct. 31 at 7:30 pm. In honor of Halloween night, there will be a costume contest – dress as your favorite Rocky Horror character.

  • Worship, Gospel and A Cappella Style

    The Living River Quartet will perform at First Baptist Church of Sister Bay on Oct. 19 at 6 pm. Organized in 1987, they have been presenting concerts throughout the Midwest.

  • Winning Streak Continues

    In what some fans have called the most exciting game of the season, the Door County Destroyers continued their eight-game winning streak by beating the previously undefeated Sheboygan County Rebels 17-14 at Baileys Harbor Rec Park on Sept.

  • “The Fantasticks” Now Playing at TAP

    Third Avenue Playhouse is now showing The Fantasticks through Oct. 19. The show runs Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. There will be a special evening performance on Oct.

  • ViBE at Bjِrklunden

    Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host a joint concert on Oct. 5 at 1:30 pm. The Viking Bassoon Ensemble (ViBE), under the direction of Carl Rath, will perform several compositions from their upcoming November concert program at Lawrence featuring works composed for bassoon ensemble rather than music composed for other instrumentation and then arranged for bassoons.

  • StageKids Offers Film Lab

    Third Avenue Playhouse’s StageKids program announces one of its most exciting theatre labs to date. This fall from Oct. 8-Nov. 15 is its first Film Lab for middle and high school students.
