  • Danielle French at The Cookery

    June 5, Danielle French, a nomadic singer/songwriter based out of Calgary, Alberta, will perform at The Cookery in Fish Creek at 7 pm. French is an award-winning singer/songwriter who has toured extensively throughout North America and participates regularly in Holiday Music Motel writing intensives.

  • Eva Jade Releases “Head & Heart”

    Eva Jade Webber, sixteen-year-old junior at Sturgeon Bay High School, is releasing her first full-length album Head & Heart on May 30. The album features eleven original songs and was recorded in collaboration with other local musicians including Kim Souther on cello, Lynn Gudmundson on violin, and Robert Desotelle on percussion.

  • Day Classes at The Clearing

    Naturalist Paul Regnier will discuss this easy, life-long hobby of birding on June 17 at The Clearing for “Birding Basics and More.” The class will start off with the basics of bird watching equipment, field guides, techniques, documentation of sightings and new technologies.

  • “Exploring Mozart’s Don Giovanni” at Bjِrklunden

    From June 22 – 27, Lawrence University’s Björklunden offers the seminar “Exploring Mozart’s Don Giovanni” with Michael Mizrahi and Erica Scheinberg This seminar will explore the music, history and politics of one of Mozart’s most fascinating and challenging works, Don Giovanni (1787), an opera that intriguingly mixes comedy and tragedy in its depiction of a relentless and unrepentant rake.

  • Register Now for Folk Festival

    The Door County Folk Festival (DCFF), this year scheduled for July 9 to 13, presents a fun-filled, educational dance/music weekend that attracts hundreds of participants from around the U.

  • Free Museum Day in Ephraim

    The Ephraim Historical Foundation, celebrating its 65th anniversary, will offer a free museum day on June 20 from 11 am to 4 pm. All five of the Ephraim Historical Foundation Museums – Anderson Barn Museum, Anderson Store, Pioneer School, Goodletson Cabin and Iverson House – will be open to the public free of charge.

  • ‘Dr. Zhivago’ Singalong at Woodwalk

    Woodwalk Gallery will present their 6th annual Fractured Classic: Sing-Along Dr. Zhivago OR Leaving On A Slow Train. Kimberly Jensen will led with the audience singing-along on “500 Miles,” “Kisses Sweeter Than Wine,” “Mockingbird,” and more.

  • Pen Players Announce 79th Season Cast

    Peninsula Players Theatre announces cast members for its 79th season, running June 17 through October 19. The mix of plays includes a world première comedy, a classic thriller, a frighteningly funny farce, the Midwest première of a Civil War drama and a musical featuring a music icon.

  • Spots Available for Birch Creek Programs

    Birch Creek is accepting applications for summer study in Percussion & Steel Band, Symphony, Jazz (two sessions) and Vocal Jazz (new for 2014). Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.

  • Improved Seating for Door Shakespeare

    Door Shakespeare recently received partial funding from the Raibrook Foundation for the purchase of new, weather-grade risers with guardrails for the audience seating area.

    Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host a concert on June 1 at 1:30 pm. The Lawrence Jazz Guitar Studio [LJGC] is happy to return to The Bjِrklunden concert series.
