Door County Short Film Fest Hosts Two Workshops
A collage of entertaining films will be screened throughout Feb. 14 & 15 as part of the fifth annual Door County Short Film Fest. On Saturday, two workshops will be available to the general public: an acting workshop, 10 am – 12 pm, at the Sister Bay Village Hall and a storytelling workshop, 2 – 4 pm, at the Northern Grill in Sister Bay.

“To Kill A Mockingbird” Screened for Donna Winter Film Fest
The Donna Winter Film Festival continues at Third Avenue Playhouse on Jan. 18 at 7 pm with a screening of To Kill A Mockingbird. Based on the classic bestselling novel by Harper Lee, this movie features Gregory Peck in his Oscar winning performance as Atticus Finch.

“The Price of Sand” Screened at UUF
The Price of Sand will be shown at the UU Fellowship on Jan. 21 at 4:30 pm. Admission is free and the screening will be followed by a discussion. The documentary tells of the frac sand mining boom in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Dear Mary Pat, I’m annoyed! I just became Facebook friends with an acquaintance of mine. I met her a handful of times and when I accepted her request to be Facebook friends I didn’t know she would be commenting on almost everything I post – photos of family members she has never met, status updates that have little or nothing to do with her.
