Nine contestants will take the stage at the Southern Door Community Auditorium Saturday, Feb. 4 to compete for the title of Miss Door County. Kirsten Hawkey, Natalie Bretl, Madeline Winkel, Miluzka McMarthy, Iris Jones, Hannah Cole, Zephyr Ciesar, Susan Fochs and Samantha Cole will compete at the scholarship pageant, which has awarded $164,650 in cash scholarships to young Door County women in its 15 years of existence.

Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host a concert Jan. 22 at 1:30 pm. The Gamma Zeta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia at Lawrence University will perform a concert of a variety of musical genres, including jazz and classical.
