  • Tutti Strings Presents Two Recitals

    Tutti Strings Private Music Studio will present two free recitals: Dec. 10 at 1 pm at the First Baptist Church in Sturgeon Bay and Dec. 11 at 1 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Juddville.

  • Gibraltar One-Act Garners State Awards

    Gibraltar High School students travelled to Whitewater in November for the Wisconsin State High School Theatre Festival hoping to repeat their success at the highest level of competition and judging for one-act plays.

  • Angel Ball Benefits Scholarship Fund

    The Door County Medical Center Auxiliary is hosting an Angel Ball to benefit the Auxiliary Scholarship Fund. The Angel Ball is Saturday, Dec. 3 at Stone Harbor Resort.

  • Who’s Open?

    Several restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving offering special or regular menus. This list is provided by the Door County Visitor Bureau. This list may not include all restaurants open for the holiday, so you’re encouraged to call to see if your favorite restaurant is offering Thanksgiving specials.

  • Registration Now Open for The Clearing

    Registration is now open for The Clearing Folk School’s Winter Program classes, which will begin Jan. 4 and end Feb. 28. Classes are published online at www.theclearing.org.

    Vintage Nest of Door County vendors will be decking the rooms of Viva la Cottage with one-of-a-kind vintage finds, artisan gifts and holiday décor items for a three-day holiday market, beginning Nov. 25.

  • Maritime Speaker Program at DCMM

    The Door County Maritime Museum has announced its 2011-2012 Maritime Speaker Series program, which will begin Nov. 29. The museum’s gift shop will be open during the initial program on Nov. 29.

  • Sigmund Snopek III Performs at Holiday Music Motel

    Sigmund Snopek III will perform a special Christmas concert at the Holiday Music Motel in Sturgeon Bay on Dec. 11 beginning at 6 pm. Early last spring, Holiday Music Motel welcomed famed rock-eccentric Snopek to perform in their on-site concert hall/recording studio.
