The Door County YMCA and The Ridges Sanctuary will be offering “No Family Left Inside” for families in Door County for the first time this winter. This series of programs is designed to provide outdoor experiences for parents and children who want to explore Door County.

Peninsula State Park’s 2010 Like to Hike pin, the eighth in an exclusive series, highlights the Niagara Escarpment – a 650-mile rock ridge that formed 420-million years ago as mud on the floor of an ancient sea.

Everyone is invited to snowshoe at Newport State Park on Monday, January 11 and Monday, February 8 from 10 am – noon. Meet at the Nature Center near the park entrance for a guided walk along the Upland Trail.

Women are invited to attend Egg Harbor’s Girlfriends Great EGGscape (women’s getaway with an Egg Harbor twist) on May 13 – 16, 2010. Women are encouraged to leave their baggage at home and come to relax, relate, and release.

Snowshoeing is a great way to explore Door County in winter, and burn off some of those extra holiday calories. Starting on January 8, The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor will sponsor weekly, guided Snowshoe Hikes.
