  • Peninsula Chamber Singers Begin Spring Rehearsals

    For anyone wishing to sing, the time has come! The Peninsula Chamber Singers’ first practice – and also the first chance to join the group for the spring concerts held Mothers’ Day Weekend – will be Monday, February 22, at the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church, on Michigan Street at 9th Avenue.

    Newport State Park will hold it’s 19th Annual Candlelight Ski/Hike/Snowshoe event on Saturday, February 13 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Eighteen years ago Newport State Park began the candlelight ski tradition in Door County, and the tradition will carry on again this year as a portion of trail will come alive by candlelight, guiding skiers, hikers and snowshoers into a glowing, magical winter wonderland.

  • Sturgeon Bay Students Perform “Bye Bye Birdie”

    Sturgeon Bay High School’s (SBHS) production of Bye Bye Birdie opens Friday, February 12 at 7 pm in the SBHS Auditorium. Additional performances will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 13, with the final performance on Monday, February 15 at 7 pm.

  • Two Generations Come Together

    Two of the Door’s favorite folk artists, Mark Raddatz and Jeanne Kuhns, come together with the next generation to perform favorite folk songs in the classic styles of Prine, Gutherie, Goodman, Dylan, and Mitchell, as well as some originals, on Friday, February 12 from 6 – 8 pm at Joe Jo’s Pizza and Gelato in Ephraim.

    One of the most influential musical sounds of the last 60 years will fill the Door Community Auditorium (DCA) in Fish Creek on Saturday, Feb. 13, when the Four Freshmen take the stage in the annual Valentine’s weekend concert.
