  • Art for Health Workshops to Begin

    Ministry Door County Medical Center’s (MDCMC) Art for Health free workshops for children will begin at the end of January. The workshops focus on music and art using performance, demonstrations and other activities with local visual and performing artists as facilitators.

    Celebrate the beginning of Advent and prepare for Christmas with favorite contemporary and traditional Christmas songs by Parks, Phillips and Co. The band, which consists of Daniel Phillips, Pamela Parks, Jennifer Grota, Eric Leiberg, Jerry Stults, Lois Kurschner, Jon Sowl, Anika Enger and Jarrod Parks, will be in concert for Christmas at 6:30 pm on Nov.

  • Dancin’ on the Door Presents “Sarah & the Toy Shop”

    Andria’s Dancin’ on the Door School of Dance presents “Sarah & the Toy Shop,” a mini ballet production by the youth dance program at Dancin’ on the Door.

    Dancin’ On The Door will host its open house and reception on Nov. 23. The all-afternoon affair will include free sample classes followed by an evening reception with hors d’oeuvres from 4 – 8 pm.

  • Organ Recital to Celebrate 25 Years

    In December 1989, the Dobson Opus 47 pipe organ was installed at Hope Church. On Dec. 7 at 2 pm, a 25th anniversary recital will be held in celebration of the important role this organ has played in the life of the congregation.

  • “Afternoon of Song” at Bjِrklunden

    Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host a concert on Nov. 9 at 1:30 pm. The voice studio of Teresa Seidl returns with an “Afternoon of Song.” Familiar and beloved melodies from the musical theater genre by composers such as Rogers and Hammerstein, Sondheim, Lerner and Loewe, Cole Porter and others will showcase the diverse talents of her singers.

  • Veterans Day Concert in Algoma

    The Algoma Community Band and Community Chorus will present their annual Veterans Day concert on Nov. 12 in the Performing Arts Center at 7 pm. The band is under the direction of Tom Mueller and the chorus by Dave Robertson.
