Maritime Speaker Series Resumes with Local Shipwright
The Door County Maritime Museum’s Maritime Speaker Series continues Jan. 2 with a presentation by local shipwright Keith Kollberg. Well known on the Door Peninsula for his stunning boat restoration efforts, Kollberg will reflect on his business, Star Board Wooden Boatworks, as well as the restoration of an historic 16-foot rowing skiff currently on exhibit at the Sturgeon Bay museum.

Greeting Card Bird of 2013 Announced at Crossroads
The annual Crossroads lecture “Greeting Card Birds” is scheduled for Dec. 24 at 2 pm. The lecture features the birds depicted on the greeting cards that the naturalist receives in 2013.

Inaugural Donna Winter Film Fest Begins Jan. 4
Beginning in 1949 with the showing of King Solomon’s Mines through its closing in 1990s, the Donna Theatre provided movies and memories for thousands of Door County residents and visitors.

Holiday Swing Dance Party at Red Oak Winery

Registration is now open for The Clearing Folk School’s Winter Program classes, which start Jan. 6 and run through Feb. 28. Over 110 adult daytime classes are being offered again this year in the arts, fine crafts, natural sciences and humanities.
