The Nicks Announce Season Lineup
After a winter hiatus, The Nicks, featuring Nick Hoover and Nick Steingart, will reunite to bring Door County a soundtrack to their summer. The duo, now celebrating 10 years of playing their eclectic mix of folk, rock, reggae and Americana up and down the Door Peninsula, will perform at an array of venues – including weekly performances at Fred & Fuzzy’s Waterfront Bar & Grill near Sister Bay on Tuesdays from 7 – 10 pm and The Garage at Husby’s in Sister Bay on Fridays from 7 – 10:30 pm.

Birds of Chicago Return to the Island
Birds of Chicago will make two stops in Door County in June – on June 21, 6:45 pm, at the Trueblood Performing Arts Center on Washington Island; and June 22, 8 pm, at The Lodge at Leathem Smith in Sturgeon Bay.

Cookery Music Series Begins in June
The Cookery’s wine bar will host a music series on Thursday nights starting in June. The series features Danielle French on June 6, David Hatch and Lynn Gudmundsen on June 13, Highland Road on June 20, and Julian Hagen on June 27.

5 Milers Concert to Benefit DOOR CANcer Inc.
The 5 Milers Folk Music Band will perform a benefit for DOOR CANcer Inc., and the Door Community Auditorium on July 27. A 5 Miler concert is full of the songs of the Kingston Trio, Peter Paul and Mary, the Weavers, and more.

Small Forest Presents Evening of Original Music at Lost Moth Gallery
On May 18, 7 – 10 pm, Lost Moth Gallery of Egg Harbor presents Small Forest for an evening of music, visiting, wine and hors d’oeuvre. Small Forest, comprised of Jeanne Kuhns, Marybeth Mattson and Pat Palmer, will perform short sets of original progressive folk/rock music throughout the evening.

Petra van Nuis Quartet Performs Jazz Concert at UUF
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will host a jazz concert with the Petra van Nuis Quartet of Chicago on May 19 at 3 pm. Van Nuis will be perform an eclectic mix of classic jazz and standards accompanied by guitarist Andy Brown, double bassist Joe Policastro, and drummer Bob Rummage.
