The Cookery is kicking off its music season with Lynn Gudmundsen and David Hatch on May 4 at 5 pm. Gudmundsen and Hatch will play a mix of acoustic classic rock and bluegrass, along with a tad of country and folk.

The Holiday Music Motel announces a new radio program that will showcase music written and recorded within their own walls, every Monday, 6 – 6:30 pm, on 102.1FM WRKU.

Holiday Music Motel has three exciting house concerts coming up in April. World-renowned bayanist Stas Venglevski pairs up with violinist Samantha George for an exceptional night of classical and original music on April 5 at 7 pm.

The Stray Birds, a Pennsylvania acoustic folk trio, will be featured in concert on April 17 at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek. Drawing upon the richness of American folk music traditions, the The Stray Birds sound lies in songwriting that soars in three-part harmony.

Sturgeon Bay resident, singer/songwriter, co-founder of Steel Bridge Songfest, and all-around supporter of great music and those who create it, pat mAcdonald will be inducted into the 2013 Wisconsin Area Music Industry Hall of Fame on April 14 in Milwaukee.

On March 16 at 7:30 pm, Edi Gbordzi with Projkt Timbukale (The best of Reggae) will perform at the Baileys Harbor Cornerstone Pub. Gbordzi will also offer free master classes in African Drumming and Dance at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall on March 16 at 2 pm.

Western swing performing and recording artist Carolyn Martin will be featured in concert on March 20 at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek. Although she is new to the White Gull series, Door County audiences may remember the 2011 guest appearance of Martin and her husband and musical collaborator Dave with Eric Lewis at Fishstock in Fish Creek.

Cowboy heroes and the Old West come back to life when the award-winning duo KG & The Ranger take the stage at the Southern Door Auditorium on March 23 at 7 pm.

The sounds of the Songsmith Renegades will fill Third Avenue Playhouse to raise funds for the United Way of Door County on March 23 at 7:30 pm. Daniel Anderson and Travis Cooper join together as the Songsmith Renegades to bring audiences a unique mixture of Americana Rock and Country, with a hint of blues and jazz.

Rock and blues guitarist and singer Chris Aaron plugs in amps and tunes guitars in the dimly lit Poh’s Corner Pub as more and more musicians and non-musicians alike come in from the cold and cozy up in the Sturgeon Bay tavern – a classic Wisconsin establishment with neon signs, soundless TVs featuring the latest sports highlights, and the rise and fall of chatter.
