Garage Sales, Galas and More Weekend Plans

June is arriving, and with it are great and unique ways to get active in the community. Take advantage of free park access, some hands-on art fun and local football.

Friday, June 3

Open House

Get hands on at Clay on Steele’s open house. Activities will include Raku firing, wheel throwing demos, and ceramic painting parties. There will be light refreshment in addition to the night’s interactive activities. 5:30 – 8:00 pm.

City Wide Garage Sale

Find something new to spruce up your living room at one of the garage sales throughout Sturgeon Bay this weekend. A full listing of sales as well as a map can be found on Sturgeon Bay’s website.

Saturday, June 4

Free Fun Weekend

Enjoy the county’s numerous state parks, forests, trails, and recreation areas this weekend. Visitors are not required to purchase passes or stickers to enter the areas, and both residents and non-residents alike can fish in Wisconsin waters without a license. All other fishing regulations apply.

DC Destroyers

Bring some friends and enjoy one of America’s most popular pastimes. Door County’s semi-pro football team will play the Fox River Raiders at the Baileys Harbor Recreation Park. 3 pm.

Book Sale

Get some great reads for a great bargain at the Sturgeon Bay Library. The sale will include books for readers of all ages and genres. 9 am – 1 pm.

Sunday, June 5

Spring Gala Fundraiser

Help out the Northern Door Children’s Center at Björklunden’s Vail Hall. Enjoy wine and food tastings from local restaurants as well as a silent auction and live music. 5:30 – 8:30 pm.

All My Sons

Rogue Theatre presents All My Sons, a play by Arthur Miller. Joe Keller made a name for himself during World War II, but as time goes on, his past actions begin to catch up to him. Tickets are 15 dollars. 7:30 pm.

Mickey Grasso

Check out the Music on Deck series at Simon Creek Vineyard and Winery this weekend as they feature singer/songwriter Mickey Grasso. 1 – 5 pm.
