  • Bjِrklunden Hosts Cello Concert

    Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host a concert Sept. 23 at 1:30 pm. A cello ensemble, under the direction of Janet Anthony, will perform several pieces written in Haiti or by Haitian composers.

    1. On Friday after work, I shared a bottle of wine with some friends and watched the sun set over Lake Michigan in Baileys Harbor. Then it was back home for an early bedtime in preparation for my weekend on the Ice Age Trail.

  • Bjِrklunden Offers “Samson” Seminar

    From Oct. 14 – 19, Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden is offering the seminar “Samson” with Bill Urbrock. The larger-than-life figure of Samson dominates the narrative in Judges 13-16 of the Bible.
