  • “Almost, Maine” Performance to Benefit United Way

    Stage Door Theatre’s Almost, Maine opened on Sept. 20 and will be performed through Oct. 14. Almost, Maine is a romantic comedy written by John Cariani and directed by James Valcq.

  • Backstage with the Boys at Pen Players

    Peninsula Players Theatre’s series of free public seminars continues for its seventh fall season. Free seminars, providing inside looks at topics related to Lombardi, are held select Saturdays from 2:30 to 4 pm in the rehearsal hall.

  • “You Are the Music of My Silence”

    A new instrumental CD, You Are the Music of My Silence, featuring award-winning Canadian musician Harry Manx and Door County musician Hans Christian, was recently released on the Allemande Music label.

  • Bjِrklunden Hosts Cello Concert

    Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host a concert Sept. 23 at 1:30 pm. A cello ensemble, under the direction of Janet Anthony, will perform several pieces written in Haiti or by Haitian composers.

    From Oct. 14 – 19, Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden is offering the seminar “Samson” with Bill Urbrock. The larger-than-life figure of Samson dominates the narrative in Judges 13-16 of the Bible.
