    The Gibraltar 8th grade girls basketball team finished 2nd during the Middle School Conference season and 2nd in the Middle School Conference tournament on March 3.

  • Go Blue!

  • Copper Box Rocks Southern Door

    Copper Box will take the stage at the Southern Door Community Auditorium (SDCA) on March 23 at 7 pm. Danny Jerabek received his first three-row button accordion, commonly referred to as the “button box,” from his grandfather when he was nine years old.

  • White Gull Features Steel Wheels

    The Steel Wheels will be featured in concert March 28 at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek. Tickets for the 8 pm concert are $16. The Steel Wheels are an Americana band, rooted in musical styles that explore the territories between blues and bluegrass.

    Kitty O’Reillys Irish Pub of Sturgeon Bay will present a weekend of great food, Guinness, and live entertainment to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! The St.

  • A Song for the Ridges

    Katie Dahl performed at the Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay as a part of the Tuesdays at TAP Series. The concert, which featured fellow musician Rich Higdon, benefited The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor.

  • YMCA Hosts “Orchids and Beyond”

    Baylake Bank Premier Club, the YMCA Sturgeon Bay Program Center and Ministry Door County Medical Center are sponsoring an informational program on “Orchids and Beyond” to be held at the Door County YMCA, located at 1900 Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay on March 28 from 9:50 – 10:50 am.

  • Celebrate Wisconsin Foods with Terese Allen

    Terese Allen, Wisconsin cookbook author and food columnist, will explore and celebrate Wisconsin’s food and culture in her presentation at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Ephraim on March 31 at 1:30 pm.

  • Stone Harbor Hosts Home & Garden Expo

    The public can find out what’s new in home building, remodeling and gardening during the Home & Garden Expo set for March 24 and 25 at Stone Harbor Convention Center in Sturgeon Bay.

  • DCMM Hosts EAA Excursion March 23

    The Door County Maritime Museum has seats available for its road trip to the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh. The excursion is scheduled for March 23 at a cost of $39 for museum members and $44 for guests.

  • Maritime Museum Temporarily Reduces Prices

    The Door County Maritime Museum has begun removal of the “Ghosts! Haunted Lighthouses of Great Lakes” exhibit to be followed by the installation of the new “Pirates: Ship to Shore” exhibition which is scheduled to open on May 19.

  • UUF Screens “Blue Gold: World Water Wars”

    The documentary Blue Gold: World Water Wars will be shown at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Ephraim on March 20 at 4:30 pm. This film exposes the destructive practices at work in the world today that threaten the future safe water supply.

  • Bjorkluden Announces 2012 Summer Seminar Series

    ABC News “Nightline” co-anchor Terry Moran, Vince Lombardi biographer David Maraniss and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Eric Simonson headline the list of featured instructors for Lawrence University’s 2012 Bjِrklunden summer seminar series.

  • Fancy Footwork

    Luann and Bob Desotelle from Sturgeon Bay do some fancy footwork at the Irish Barn Dance to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 10 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Sturgeon Bay.

  • Audition for Door Shakespeare

    Door Shakespeare is holding auditions for its 2012 summer season and beyond. On March 25, auditions will take place at Third Avenue Playhouse, 239 North Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay.

  • TAP Announces 2012 Summer and Fall Season

    The Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) in Sturgeon Bay announced their 2012 summer and fall season, which runs from June 21 to Oct. 14. The Stage Door Theatre, the new 99-seat black box theatre, will run four plays throughout the summer and early fall on Sunday and Friday nights and occasional afternoon performance.

  • Third Avenue Playhouse Hosts Spring Theatre Classes

    The Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay will host Spring Theatre Classes for students in grades 2nd – 12th from April 12 – May 19. Each class will meet once a week for six weeks.

  • Peninsula Players Theatre Announces 77th Season

    Peninsula Players Theatre announced its 77th season, running June 12 through Oct. 14, 2012. Peninsula Players will open with the Wisconsin premiere of Opus by Michael Hollinger.

  • Gibraltar Celebrates Spanish Literacy

    The Friends of Gibraltar and the Gibraltar Spanish Department teamed up to celebrate Spanish Literacy at Gibraltar Schools, including a performance by the Clinard Dance Theatre on March 17 at 6:30 pm.
