  • Looking Forward to Fall Fest

    Pumpkin Patch Weekend (known as Columbus Day outside Door County) is here, which means Fall Fest is right around the corner. As restaurants and shops flood with visitors this weekend, usually the busiest of the year for restaurants in Northern Door, the only relief for the staff now hanging by a thread is the vision of Fall Fest dancing in their heads.

  • Master Young to Teach Tai Chi Classes October 22 – 24

    From October 22 – 24, Tai Chi Master Wasentha Young will offer a series of classes for participants of all skill levels.

  • Savory Spoon Offers Tasty Classes

    On Friday, October 8 at 6 pm, the Savory Spoon Cooking School of Ellison Bay will offer “Harvest Meals,” featuring fall flavors at their best. Using fresh vegetables from Horsley Gardens and North Bay Road Farms in Sister Bay, participants will prepare Saganaki with sauté of honey crisp on greens, leeks and potatoes, schnitzel will black olive crust, and sweet potato tart will red wine caramel.

  • Southern Door Family Center Hosts Fitness Classes

    The Family Centers of Door County is partnering with the YMCA to host fitness classes at the Southern Door Family Center located at 1400 County Road DK, Brussels.

  • Eagle Bluff Lighthouse Features Evening Tours

    For the first time in the history of Eagle Bluff Lighthouse Museum, visitors will have an opportunity to tour the lighthouse after sunset. Under a lantern’s glow, visitors may experience life in the lighthouse as it was between 1868 and 1926.

  • Sheri Gibbs Presents Documentary

    “Gibraltar Talks…Door County: Traditions of a Rugged Pioneer Past” will be held on Tuesday evening, October 12 at 7:30 pm at the Gibraltar Town Center behind the Fish Creek Post Office.

  • Bjorklunden Hosts Dr. Steven E. Landfried

    Internationally-known crane conservation and Door County native, Dr. Steven E. Landfried will return to Baileys Harbor from October 17 – 22 for five morning presentations at Bjِrklunden to share 25 years of fascinating crane conservation work.

    Underdogs appreciate How to Train Your Dragon, the story of an unusually scrawny Viking boy named Hiccup whose very existence is defined by being as much of a spasm as his name implies.

  • “Panic” Character Inspired by Hitchcock

    Panic, a new thriller by Joseph Goodrich, is now on stage at Peninsula Players through October 17. The play features the character Henry Lockwood, inspired by the film legend, Alfred Hitchcock.

  • Peninsula Players Continue Seminar Series

    Peninsula Players’ Saturday Seminar Series will conclude with three seminars in October, featuring Players’ designers and actors. The seminars will be held from 2:30 – 4 pm in the Players’ Rehearsal Hall.
