Door County is home to a selection of performance venues and ensembles unmatched by any other small communities in America. Birch Creek brings jazz and classical music to a rustic barn, Midsummer’s Music Festival tours the peninsula for intimate concerts, and the Peninsula Music Festival awes visitors and locals alike at the Door Community Auditorium each august.   • Washington Island Music Festival

    The Washington Island Music Festival will be wrapping up will two more events. On Friday, August 15, the festival will hosts a concert at the Community Center on Main Road.

  • Midsummer Music Festival Features Labor Day Performances

    This year, for the first time, Midsummer’s Music will offer six concerts over the Labor Day weekend featuring two entirely different programs. The concerts begin on Wednesday, September 1 and continue through Labor Day, September 6.

  • 1st Annual Summer Fun Show in Jacksonport

    The Jacksonport Area Business Association will present the 1st Annual Summer Fun Show on Saturday, August 14 at Mr. G’s Logan Creek Grill. Take three singers who enjoy performing together as members of Daddy D Productions, (Andy Bain, Darren Johnson, and Doug Dachelet) add some classic songs and sprinkle liberally with Up Nort’ humor and then sit back and prepare to be entertained by Da Tree Guys.

  • Balthazar’s Feast Benefits Door Shakespeare

    Lovers of chamber music will enjoy Door Shakespeare’s annual gala, “Balthazar’s Feast,” a luxurious evening of food and music at Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor on Sunday, August 15, from 6 – 9 pm.

  • Final Birch Creek Concerts

    Birch Creek is in its fourth week of big band jazz concerts, performing “The Great American Big Band” on August 13 and “The Legacy of the Big Band” on August 14.

  • The Clearing Presents Violinist Klara Fenyo Bahcall

    Violinist, Klara Fenyِ Bahcall, who has taught the Chamber Music for Strings class at The Clearing for the past 10 years, will perform a benefit concert in The Clearing Schoolhouse at 3 on Sunday, September 5.

  • Door County Fair Features Roy Orbison Tribute

    Dan Riley and the Dream Band take the stage in “Roy Orbison: The Tribute!” at the Door County Fair on Wednesday, August 4 at 7 pm in front of the Budweiser Grandstand.

  • Rhode Sisters at Egg Harbor Gallery

    The Rhode Sisters – a feisty folk trio – will perform at the Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor on Sunday, August 1 at 7 pm. The trio includes Alissa Rhode on piano, Molly Rhode on string bass, and Rhonda Rae Busch on guitar.

  • Big Band at Birch Creek

    Classic big band music continues at Birch Creek Music Performance Center with “Jazz and the Great American Big Band” on July 31.

  • Join the Barn Dance in Sister Bay

    The Door County Folk Alliance will host a “Barn Dance” at the Sister Bay Village Hall on July 31 from 7 – 9:30 pm. Live music will be provided by Sugar on the Floor Barn Dance Band.

  • Door County Opera Festival

    The Door County Opera Festival announced its 2010 festival performance, “Summer Opera Celebration,” a concert featuring opera and musical theatre favorites at 7:30 pm on August 6 and 7 at the Ephraim Village Hall.

  • Mardra Thomas Brings Billie Holiday to Birch Creek

    Jazz vocalist and actress, Mardra Thomas, joins the Birch Creek Academy Big Band August 4 – 8 and will be highlighted in the STARZ Series concert on August 8.

  • Chicago’s Second City Comedy Troupe Takes the Peg Egan Stage

    On July 25 at 7 pm the Second City Comedy Troupe will take the stage at the Peg Egan Performing Art Center’s Sunset Concert Series.

  • Organist Ruth Tweeten Performs July 25

    Organist Ruth Tweeten returns to northeast Wisconsin to present a concert of solo organ music on Sunday, July 25 at 7 pm at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay.

  • The Big Bands are Back!

    Classic big band music returns to Birch Creek Music Performance Center Wednesdays through Saturdays, July 21 through August 14. Musicians from New York to Las Vegas and places in between join the Birch Creek Academy Band for one of their favorite gigs: concerts in the historic Dutton Barn just outside Egg Harbor.

  • UUF Features Birch Creek Ambassadors

    The Birch Creek Ambassadors return to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for their 11th appearance on Friday, July 23 from 7:30 – 9 pm. The cabaret-style concert will feature refreshments and beverages along with exceptional jazz throughout the evening.
