Door County Triathlon Donates $80,000
The Door County Triathlon board of directors recently approved a $70,000 distribution – $35,000 each – to its two charity partners, the Door County Y and the Friends of the Door County Parks System.

Free Mouthguard Day at Door County Dental Care
Door County Dental Care, located in Sturgeon Bay, is offering a free Mouthguard Day on Oct. 25 at 2 pm. All area student athletes are invited to receive a free fitting for a mouthguard to help prevent dental and facial injuries during sports or other contact activities.

Flu vaccine clinics were recently set by the Door County public health department to take place throughout the county. Rhonda Kolberg, Door County Health Officer, stated, “Each flu season, different flu viruses can spread.

UUF Invites Community to Listening Workshop
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County will offer the workshop Listening as Healing on Oct. 18 at 7 pm. Presented by the Rev. Joan Shiels, this 90-minute free workshop teaches the simplest of all healing techniques – listening.

The YMCA and Ministry Door County Medical Center are currently celebrating “Walktober” – a community wellness campaign. During October, the Y offers several free opportunities for community members.

HELP of Door County Holds First Annual Football Frenzy Party
Football fans are welcome to HELP of Door County, Inc.’s first annual Football Frenzy Party on Oct. 7 at The Landmark Resort in Egg Harbor. Doors open at 11 am and the Packer game begins at 12 pm, with the Bear game to follow.

DCA Hosts Musical Benefit for Go Bo Foundation

Sturgeons Bring in $33,400 for SBVC
Seventeen street art sturgeons drew in a large crowd of local residents and visitors to Sturgeon Bay during the Street Art Auction on Sept. 22. This year’s auction brought in $33,400.
