    Gravity Trails, located at 1420 Pine Drive, Baileys Harbor, is offering a plethora of kayak and zipline tours with favorites such as the clear bottom shipwreck kayak sunset tour.

  • When All Else Fails

    The Door County Sail and Power Squadron continues its 2014 summer seminar series with “Mariner’s Compass” on July 26. So you think your Boat’s GPS is pretty slick? What happens when your electronics fail? The Marine Compass is still the boaters’ primary navigation tool and essential when all else fails.

  • Lake Lesson on “Beach Health”

    Lake Lessons, The Ridges’ Thursday evening speaker series, continues on July 24 at 7 pm with “Door County Beach Health: From Beach Bum to Beach Buddy.

  • Crossroads Programs

    The Cub Scouts recently participated in a Crossroads at Big Creek program on clouds where they learned to recognize the clouds that could indicate dangerous weather.

  • Family Fun Day

    On July 20, from 1:30 – 3:30 pm, the Heritage Village at Big Creek will present a fun-filled family day. Activities will include blacksmith demonstrations and docent-led tours.

  • Restoring Chief Roy’s Mini-bowl

    The Oneida Longhouse Singers and Dancers opened the first season of regular performances since Chief Roy Oshkosh in the mini-bowl behind Chief Oshkosh Native American Arts in Egg Harbor on Wednesday, July 9.

  • A Trail to Remember

    The Ridges Family Discovery Trail made its debut on June 25, welcoming 60 children from the Door County YMCA to try out the ten interactive stations along the trail.

  • Everything and Anything

    On July 19, the Stuff-o-Rama flea market takes place on the grounds of Domicile in Sister Bay from 8 am – 3 pm. Browse vendors showing anything and everything including antiques, books, glassware, jewelry, furniture, golf and sports collectibles, baseball cards, vintage clothing and accessories, eclectic household items, junior clothing, crafts and treasures of all variety.

  • Rural Life Programs

    This week at Crossroads at Big Creek, the Door County Historical Society will offer several programs about early rural schools and farm life. These programs include a presentation with the “schoolmarm” Joan Wilkie, a talk called “Farming at the Turn of the 20th Century” by George Evenson, and Judy Jesse presenting on “Education in the Rural Schools.

  • Fun Times at the DC Fair

    This year’s Door County Fair will take place July 30 – August 3 at John Miles County Park, 812 N. 14th Ave., in Sturgeon Bay. Musical acts on the Miller Lite Midway Stage will include: Vic Ferrari, Road Trip, Boogie & the Yo-yo’z and, Madison County.
