  • Fish Boil and Open House at Gills Rock Maritime Museum

    The Door County Maritime Museum, in conjunction with J&M Fisheries, will host a fish boil with an open house in Gills Rock on Sept. 16. The museum open house takes place from 10 am – 5 pm and allows visitors to view the new exhibit, “Dan Seavey, a Great Lakes Pirate.”

  • Crossroads Hosts Concert and Craft/Produce Market

    Crossroads at Big Creek is hosting a variety of events in early September. On Sept. 15 at 8 pm, the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society welcomes visitors to Crossroads for “September Viewing Night.”

    The second “Dearly Departed” cemetery walk at the Ephraim Moravian Cemetery takes place Sept. 19, 1 – 3 pm. The cemetery walk is the living history of those who lived and died in Ephraim.

  • Corn Fest Features Massive Maze

    Celebrate Corn Fest at Schopf’s Dairy View Country Store on Sept. 8 to benefit Sunshine House, Inc. Activities include a 20-acre corn maze, sweet corn & pie eating contests, tug-of-war competition, kids’ games, sand art, raffles, silent auctions, tattoos by Kristen, and Pirates in the Harbor.

  • The Ridges Sanctuary Offers Guided Hikes

    The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor will begin its fall schedule of naturalist guided hikes. From Sept. 8 through Oct. 13, hikes will be given at 9:30 am Wednesday through Saturday.

  • Fall Harvest Fest at Parallel 44

    Parallel 44 is hosting Fall Harvest Fest on Sept. 8, 12 – 6 pm. This event includes a Traditional Grape Stomp at 1 pm, live music all day, gourmet food (available for purchase), local vendors, and vineyard tours from 2 – 5 pm.

    From Sept. 30 to Oct. 5, Bjِrklunden is offering “Autumn’s Unleashed Beauty” with Don Quintenz. How is it possible for a bird to recognize the stars in the night sky at birth? How does a dark sky tell us our universe had a recent beginning? To answer these and other questions, participants will hike the trails of Bjِrklunden to learn from birds in the mornings, observe sunrises and investigate the dark, evening skies.
