    Volunteer bird enthusiasts all over the country are gearing up for the annual Christmas Bird Count, sponsored by the National Audubon Society. The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor coordinates two local bird counts, the Ephraim and Northern Door Counts, scheduled for Dec. 15.

  • Crossroads Celebrates Astronomy Day with Dedication Ceremony

    Crossroads at Big Creek celebrates Astronomy Day 2012 with “A Celebration of the Sun,” on Oct. 20. As part of the celebration, the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will dedicate a sundial, a project of the Leadership Door County Class of 2012, at 1 pm in the Astronomy Campus of Crossroads.
