  • Door County YMCA Hosts 18th Annual Blossom Run

    The Door County YMCA’s 18th Annual Blossom Run is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 at Dock Park in Egg Harbor. The date is one week earlier than usual.

  • Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club Hosts Annual Chili Supper Fundraiser

    Sunday, May 1 the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club will host the Sail Training Foundation’s annual Chili Supper Fundraiser from 5 – 7:30 pm. The event will benefit the non-profit Sail Training Foundation’s fleet and the maintenance of the STF building in Sunset Park.

  • Door County Master Gardeners Offer Two Programs

    The Door County Master Gardeners will present two programs at the Crossroads at Big Creek this April. DD Knutson, a local grasses enthusiast and Door County Master Gardener Volunteer, will present a program showcasing the advantages of adding grasses to a garden on Tuesday, April 5 at 7 pm.

  • Tickets Available for Door County Lighthouse Festival

    Tickets for the 18th Annual Door County Lighthouse Festival tours and cruises will go on sale Monday, April 4. Members of the Door County Maritime Museum may reserve tickets prior to April 4.

  • Door County’s Crossroads Features Various Programs

    Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout April. Friday, April 1 at 10:30 am families are invited to participate in “Fooling Around with Water” in the Crossroads lab.

  • The Ridges of Door County Host Springtime Activities

    The Door County Early Birders Club will hold its first meeting at The Ridges Sanctuary on Saturday, April 9 at 10 am. The club will meet monthly and have a focus on families with kids ages 6 to 11; younger ages are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

  • Whitefish Dunes State Park of Door County Hosts Gyote Event

    Saturday, March 19 from 10 am – 2 pm, Whitefish Dunes State Park will host a fish-printing event in the Nature Center Auditorium. Offered by the Friends of Whitefish Dunes, participants will learn the ancient art of Gyote (fish-printing), and create wearable works of art.

  • Door County’s Crossroads Features Various Programs

    Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout March and April. Tuesday, March 22 at 6:30 pm, the Ministry Door County Medical Center will present a lecture by Dr. Philip Arnold.

  • Door County’s Team Leadership Center Hosts “Family Fun Dayz”

    The Team Leadership Center of Sturgeon Bay is once again hosting “Family Fun Dayz” beginning Saturday, June 14. The center will be open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer from 11 am – 4 pm.

    Wondering what you can do to enjoy the muddy outdoors between winter and spring? Peninsula State Park Naturalist Kathleen Harris suggests a, “walk, drive or bike [on] Middle Road at dusk to listen for Woodcock.

    On March 19 at 10 am, The Ridges of Baileys Harbor will sponsor a program entitled “Building for Bluebirds” at the Ridges’ Marshall Cabin. The program is designed for families, but all ages are welcome.

    Fox Valley Sibling Support Network and the Team Leadership Center are partnering up to offer Sib Camp to any child who has a sibling with special needs.

  • Door County’s Peninsula State Park Hosts “Like to Hike”

    Peninsula State Park is hosting their 10th annual “Like to Hike.” The event features five listed activities, including include hiking Eagle Trail, spending 30 minutes fishing at the park (poles are available for free loan at the Nature Center), or biking Sunset Route.

  • A Tournament on Ice

    Used to be that humans would fish through a hole in the ice during the winter months out of necessity and survival, now – it’s mostly for fun. On the weekend of March 3 – 6, Husby’s Food & Spirits of Sister Bay will celebrate the curious and popular sport of ice fishing with their second annual Ice Fishing Tournament on the waters of Door and Kewaunee Counties.
