Singer-songwriter and guitarist Johnsmith will be featured in concert Wednesday, December 8, at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek. Tickets for the 8 pm concert, the second in a series of seven scheduled at the inn this winter, are $15.

Guitar Lesson 101 with Katie Dahl
Local folk musician Katie Dahl has some pointers on beginner’s guitar. “Guitar lessons can be good for some people, but I learned on my own and rather enjoyed the freedom of learning at my own pace and teaching myself exactly what I wanted to learn,” Dahl said in an email.

Jackson Browne’s Door County Performance Raises $7,000
Door County’s Holiday Motel in Sturgeon Bay hosted Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jackson Browne in an exceptionally intimate live concert. The event raised nearly $7,000 to benefit local music programs and events.

Jackson Browne Plays “Snow-Day” Concert at Sturgeon Bay’s Holiday Motel
Jackson Browne will return to the Holiday Motel for a second, intimate house concert on Nov. 14 at 7:30 pm. Browne agreed to play the concert after a number of ticket-holders for his first show could not attend due to a severe winter storm.

Inn at Kristofer’s Features Katie Dahl
Singer and guitarist Katie Dahl will perform at The Inn at Kristofer’s on select dates from October to December. There is no additional cover charge to dine on an evening Dahl performs; however, reservations are strongly encouraged.

On Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 pm, the Door County Auditorium in Fish Creek will host a free concert entitled, “A Celebration of Community.” The concert, sponsored by Ministry Door County Medical Center (MDCMC), will feature three international touring musicians, along with a lineup of Door County musicians.

Holiday Motel Hosts Annual “Dark Songs”
Sturgeon Bay’s famed Holiday Motel will once again host its annual “Dark Songs,” a week of collaborative songwriting, recording, and performances. Over 20 musicians will converge at the Holiday Motel to write music that will be debuted in two live performances over the Halloween weekend.
